Movie clips: The Persuaders

The Persuaders were a pair of globe-trotting, sophisticated playboys who solved crimes of passion and espionage every week on UK television.
This clip is from the first episode ever of the series; it aired on 17 September 1971.
The footage of Danny and Brett doing a car race (not on a track) is done with a cool song playing over it, that scene alone gives the hour ten out of ten.

Hungarian yé-yé: More Cini

In addition to my post on the new super-blog Splendida, here is a complete "Best of - 66-70" album with the Hungarian pop queen Sarolta 'Cini' Zolotnay. This is a fun album with 19 great popsongs. Yeyelicious! I can't type anymore, I have to go dancing. Enjoy.

Going to Paris!

Im going to Paris in July. For the first time in my life. It would be great if some of you could help me having the blast of my life!
Help me bring back some yéyé tunes for the blog and other french vintage stuff. Yeyeyeah!

I would love recommends of:
- Vintageshops: rare 60's records, second hand clothes, everything retro!
- Festivals and concerts in July
- Clubs (with 60's music!)
- Other great must-see sights

Post your recommends in the comments.
Thanks!

Video: Grethe and Jörgen Ingmann - Dansevisen

This beautiful song won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1963. It was performed by the couple Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann. The music was composed by Otto Francker and the lyrics was written by Sejr Volmer-Sörensen.
Jörgen turned 80 this April..

I consider it as the best Eurovision song (along with Mrs. Gall, of course ;))
